2014 Audi Best Buddies Challenge: Washington, D.C.

2014 ABBCOn Saturday, October 18, 2014 Best Buddies will host the fifth annual Audi Best Buddies Challenge: Washington, D.C., a five-star, family friendly charity cycling event. Best Buddies International is a non-profit organization dedicated to advocating for friendship, acceptance and inclusion for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).

The event starts at the base of the Washington Monument. The 20 mile ride and 5k walk/run routes are on closed roads in downtown DC. The 100 mile ride heads up to Potomac through Montgomery County, passing the 62-mile start line in Poolesville, MD. The route continues over Point of Rocks Bridge into Loudoun County, passing through quaint, countryside towns like Waterford, Purcellville and ending at the historic Morven Park in Leesburg, VA.

Upon your arrival, hot showers, massages, and refreshments will be served. The event culminates with an awards ceremony featuring inspiring speeches, as well as a gourmet lunch and an open bar.
