Los Angeles River Run 10K / Half / Full

The LA River Half-Marathon is the official race of the LA River, started in 2013.  This is a particularly beautiful course found in the heart of Los Angeles.  The LA River is home to some of the most innovative projects we’ll see in our lifetimes.  Not only that, it has become a connecting strength bringing together active commuters, neighborhoods, and some cool commercial enterprises.  The race route runs along the LA River Greenway and Bike Path.  There is a slight downhill grade on the first half of the route.  Water, public facilities, and aid stations are placed throughout the course.  The course is USATF certified.  A post-race party will be held at Golden Road Brewing where every finisher (over 21) receives a complimentary beer.  See below for other swag included. 3rd Annual South Jersey Holiday Football Classic and Toy Drive

Black Friday, 10am-12pm

Lawnside Park

208 E Charleston Ave. Lawnside, NJ 08045

The Cause: Please join Fit Fathers on Black Friday for a day of activity by way of touch football, community awareness, and empowerment of the people. Last year we had a shootout so the goal is to host an even bigger game. Feel free to tag and invite others. And yes, the entire family is welcome!

Toy Drive: For every new toy you donate through our partnership with Toys For Tots and the United States Marine Corps Reserve you will receive a $25 gift card from our sponsor Modell’s Sporting Goods. So please help us put smiles on the faces of less fortunate children.

For the ladies feel free to invite your sons, boyfriends or husbands and participate by exercising at the field while we’re balling. There is a running path at your disposal and a playground for the kids.

We’ll have music, waters, fruits, and Modell’s gift cards.

The Game

* Start time is at 10am but arrive at 9:30 for stretches, warm ups and plyometrics with Coach K.

*We will play 8 on 8 including 3 on the line, a QB, a RB and 3 receivers. Only 3 can rush on D.

I’m honored to be featured and selected as one of “100 Men of Distinction” for Black Enterprise’s Modern Man (BEMM) Council.
