Run to the NAIAS Public Show Opening

The Auto Show 5K makes its seventh appearance on the Motor City scene, Saturday, Jan. 19, with a run/walk that celebrates all things cars and cardio. Organized by the Michigan Fitness Foundation and Crim Fitness Foundation, the 5K run/walk starts at 8:30 a.m. at the DNR Outdoor Adventure Center, and takes place on the Dequindre Cut, Detroit’s celebrated trail and urban art gallery.

Finishing in time for the opening of the NAIAS Public Show, the 5K gives participants the opportunity to purchase discounted auto show tickets when registering online for the race.

Each Auto Show 5K entrant will be provided with a race shirt inspired by the urban artwork on the Dequindre Cut (must be registered by Jan. 15 to be guaranteed a shirt). All finishers will be presented with a commemorative Auto Show 5K finishers medal.

Registration is $36, and proceeds help fund health, nutrition and physical activity programs through the Michigan Fitness Foundation.
