Young Vegan Cyborg speaks on Plant-Based Nutrition and Daily Fitness

Sometimes the wellness inspiration comes from our seeds. For example, 11-year old Kaiyana Rawlins — the daughter of Fit Father’s founder Kimatni D. Rawlins — breaks down her love for sports, why she feels good on a daily basis, where energy for her four activities comes from (soccer, basketball, competitive jump rope and volleyball) as a vegan kid and minor challenges she faces amongst her peers. She also runs in between strength training and eats cruciferous green veggies like candy. So remember, always eat clean, stay active and continue to energize your life!

INFINITI Hoops Experience at the 2018 NCAA Final Four Weekend in San Antonio

Experienced by Kimatni D. Rawlins

The epic weekend began when I Landed to San Antonio, TX to immaculately warm weather and the pompous and striking 2018 INFINITI QX80 full-size luxury SUV which escorted me in style to the famed Alamodome for the hoops excitement and action. After School Basketball with the Kids

The idea was sparked by Kids After Hours, a Montgomery County Maryland organization that sets up programs for your kids before and after school. They organize active events, sports, games and competitions to keep your pride and joy burning calories constantly. So how could the Fit Fathers team turn down an offer to play against a football team of 3rd, 4th  and 5th graders? It was amazing. Suffice to say, we encourage all dads to participate in your child’s sporting and after school activities whenever possible. The euphoric vibes and elation are beneficial to both parties. Work can wait, your child’s memories and emotions cannot!

Happiness is the key to success in any endeavor. When an activity is pleasurable working hard seems a lot more like play. Getting up before dawn to exercise is more appealing if the activity is a reward in itself. The body is an amazing machine. Start moving and it will respond with increasing levels of fitness, move towards a healthy weight and increase your energy and stamina. But remember that none of this happens overnight. Have realistic expectations and be patient. [Read more…]
