Sean McKoy, Film Director and Producer

Sean-McKoy_Fit-Fathers_Fit-Fatherhood“Fit Fathers” is not just a phenomenal movement, but a wake up call to all men with children! Every father in this world should cherish information and resources to help better themselves physically and mentally for their children.  The resources provided by FitFathers.com, which I have had the pleasure of experiencing consistently, helped shape my entire perspective on healthy eating, daily workouts, and the various misconceptions of food in general.  Moreover, fatherhood means the world to my two daughters and I. For the betterment of society, I hope dads all over the world join the movement; a movement that will bring us closer to our children by adapting healthier lifestyles.  One love!

Juan Barnett, Automotive Writer

Fit-Fathers_Juan-BurnettI was in good shape before my son came along, but not in the same way I am now. Being a part of the “Fit Fathers” movement is not just about maintaining a slim waistline or eating the right foods, there’s a mental component that shouldn’t be neglected. My boy and I will throw back a kale shake like it’s nobody’s business, but I also make sure to take time to reflect on the well-being of my wife and I.

Once a day I mediate, stretch, breathe and relax. It’s a complete package and isn’t easy. Kids at a young age are stressful, and stress can destroy you physically and mentally. The biggest challenge and reward has come from learning to deal with this stress. My family is my motivation, but not just to look good, but also to live a higher quality life dusk to dawn – it’s mental, physical and emotional. This is what Fit Fatherhood means to me!

Fit-Fathers-Ryan-StewartI cannot think of two better reasons to make sure I’m a part of the Fit Fathers team. My two little men need me around to ascertain they grow into strong and focused men. Staying fit, eating healthy and teaching them the core fundamentals of life will assure me that opportunity. I want to thank Fit Fathers founder and former Georgia Tech Football roommate and teammate Kimatni D. Rawlins for his knowledge and wisdom, and more importantly, for being a true friend.  Stay blessed!

As a Fit Father, I share love and wisdom that truly strengthens the bond with my daughter.  We challenge each other in physical endeavors and with life lessons that bring us closer together while becoming teammates during the process.  She gains confidence with every goal and feels better about herself when each milestone is accomplished. A shared experience is ideal for her growth and development and being fit and healthy together affords us this opportunity.  I recommend that dads  follow the Fit Fathers movement; it’s more than simply being active, it’s a lifelong relationship!

Jaime Gabaldoni, Automotive Test Driver

Fit-Fathers-Jaimie-GabaldoniFor me, happiness has always been the main objective in life. With this ongoing quest I encounter countless forms of distractions which make it harder to achieve this simple but challenging purpose. However, after becoming a single father the objective remained the same, the impact was greater, and the journey was no longer a lonely one. The Fit Fathers lifestyle helps me focus on the greatest goal and has become the main example in life for my son Luca.

At the short age of 6, he understands the importance of exercising and practicing smart nutrition for a nourishing and blissful life. He is also aware of the impact a healthy lifestyle has on our world for future generations, not to mention being compassionate for all living creatures. So far we are having a great time practicing and enjoying as many outdoor activities as possible. I am constantly challenging Luca to escape his comfort zone and learn new skills that will help him build solid confidence. More importantly, I encourage him to keep it fun while navigating his own path to achieve happiness.

Vision: Offer continuous education on the benefits of an overall healthy lifestyle which is key. Awareness of chronic diseases causation and the need for daily exercise is becoming more apparent as cellular degeneration strikes faster due to a S.A.D diet, lethargic attitudes and habitual work cycles over family and personal cycles.

Screen Shot 2015-11-24 at 10.25.54 AMIn today’s technologically-driven society, where never-ending work demands and over-connectivity have become the “new normal,” health, nutrition, quality family interaction and exercise are being neglected. Fast food, sodas, gaming and digital communication have supplanted home-cooked meals, adventurous family vacations, reading, direct personal communication and active living. With this wave of mass digital confusion and lack of healthy living, kids, for the first time, are expected to have a shorter life expectancy than their parents. [Read more…]

Meet Fit Fathers Founder Kimatni D. Rawlins

Kimatni_Rawlins_White_House_Fit_FathersThe proud father of two young girls, Kimatni D. Rawlins founded Fit Fathers to inspire other men to lead the charge in prioritizing healthier eating and exercise to enhance the lives of themselves and their families. Despite a deeply athletic background that included playing running back for the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, Rawlins, like so many others, had succumbed to an increasingly inactive lifestyle and after getting back on track created the educational website, www.FitFathers.com, to help other dads do the same.

Today Rawlins leads an extremely active lifestyle that includes competing in track meets, marathons, 5Ks, 10Ks, half marathons and urbanathlons in addition to training private clients looking to make similar positive life changes. Incorporating strength training, plyometrics, running, sprinting, boxing and yoga into his own daily workouts and opting for such family activities as cycling, hiking and swimming, Rawlins, who is also a clean vegan, believes that fitness and nutrition fuel positive health habits for himself and his family and thrives on the motto: “Eat well, stay active and energize your life!”
