6th Annual “Fit Fathers Day” Celebration: Each One Teach One

Father’s Day in the Maryland, DC and Virginia area was elevated by Fit Fathers for the 6th consecutive year with exercise, laughter, dance, music and fun. We bring dads and father figures together to demonstrate the importance of being health conscious and leading by example through positive, nutritional choices.

Hype for the event was built from engaging social media campaigns and coverage from our media partners at Radio One, Fox 5 DC, News Channel 8, WUSA 9 and a host of media outlets. Additionally, with $2,500 in prizes at stake for our fitness challenges, over 500 attendees came to the celebration ready for action which resulted in an eventful morning.

4th Annual “Fit Fathers Day” Celebration: Silver Spring, MD

On Father’s Day join us for a “fun-for-all” group exercise with trainers Michelangelo Bance, Tiffani Jenkins, Styves Exantus and the Ravens’ Kyle Arrington. Also enjoy fitness games, Zumba by Z Sweat Dance and Fitness and Ray & Roze Zumba, healthy snacks, yoga led by 5 Sense Wellness, an interactive playground and music from DJ Blinks and PanLara steel drum. Attendees can compete for over $2,500 in prizes from Nike, Bose, Road Runner Sports, Modell’s, Soul Cycle, Strider Bikes, Thule, Live Nation, Yokohama Tires and Vibram in the Mr Fit Fathers, Fit Mom, Fit 50+ and Fit Kid contests. Also the reigning 2-time Mr. Fit Father, James Paul Swink, will be back to defend his Gym Source title against any takers of the grand prize.

A Fit Father and Child’s Bond with the Strider 12” Balance Bike and Rocking Base

As a parent one of the greatest bonding moments with your child is teaching him or her how to ride a bicycle. I am a Fit Father of a 1-year-old daughter and didn’t see this experience happening in at least another few years. Well, Strider decided to expedite the timeline with the introduction of their Rocking Base that attaches to the 12” Strider Balance Bike.
