Oh wow. If you ever make it to Bangkok please go to the most amazing Vegan Restaurant I have ever visited. And I’ve eaten at more than 200 places globally. Not only is the food out of this world, organic and natural, but the eclectic vibe is energizing and features live new artists. After eating noodles all week in Vietnam I was telling my fellow Fit Father Horace Ward that when we get to Thailand I’m going searching for a burger! Muay Thai Boxing Training in Bangkok

In Bangkok, Thailand we had to complete the “5th Annual Nomadic Journey” with a bang (no, not partying) at Krudam Gym for a session of Muay Thai with some of the city’s finest instructors. We have much more respect for these boxers after learning just a small fraction of the trade and then watching an actual match later that night. Now only if we can emulate their kick speeds which seem faster than their jabs. Impressive!

Mango Lime Sorbet

Mango Lime Sorbet. Kathy Patalsky. 7.11.11This dessert is a silky smooth sorbet inspired by the lush flavors of Thailand.

2 cups pureed partially frozen mango
1/2 cup agave nectar
Juice of 2 limes

This recipe works best if the mango is frozen, and then allowed to thaw for about 15 minutes. Once it has partially thawed, puree the mango along with the agave and lime juice. Pour the puree into a shallow glass or metal bowl and then place it in the freezer. After 30 minutes, stir the puree, then repeat every 15 minutes thereafter until you are ready to serve.
